What brought you to Uplift?
I came to Uplift because of the opportunity to work with an amazing group of people to help solve clients’ real problems, not just the ones they think they have.
What is your favorite thing about working at Uplift?
Definitely the intelligent, funny, and overall wonderful people!
What does your day-to-day look like in your current role?
I currently work on a small team with a mix of Uplift and our client’s people. My day mostly consists of working in the codebase for the application we are developing, using test-driven development. The rest of the time is working towards understanding the client’s needs and the vision for our team and project.
What is the best career lesson you have learned so far?
Find a work/life balance that creates the most joy. There is always a bigger want for more time for life events, but if you can find a workplace that is also fulfilling and fun, the joy you get from both areas of life is much greater.
If you could have any job in the world, what would it be?
I always thought running a coffee shop/bakery would be fun and challenging! Not sure if I could handle the early mornings though.
What are your hobbies?
I like to bake when I get the chance to, play volleyball, keep up with Chicago sports (specifically the Blackhawks), and spend time with my wife, friends, and family.
Where is the best place you’ve traveled to and why?
I went to St. Lucia for my honeymoon. I had never been to a tropical island before so the vivid colors of the environment and the incredibly fresh air, as well as the best traveling partner, made for a one-of-a-kind experience!
Fun fact about yourself:
I have a corgi puppy named Walter who has inspired one of our team’s name, the Fighting Corgis!
